What We Do

Apex Equine Dental Surgery, based in Lancashire, provides a friendly, equine veterinary dental service, from mobile routine procedures including examination, rasping of teeth and wolf tooth extractions, through to clinic-based advanced equine dentistry services of the highest quality, on both a first opinion and referral basis.

Referral and advanced dentistry services are provided by renowned, experienced equine dental vet, Sam Baker BVSc CertAVP(ED) MRCVS who is an RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Equine Dentistry. Associate, Robert Embery BVSc MRCVS, performs both routine as well as some advanced dentistry services.

Sam has been my equine dental surgeon for several years. Sam is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and highly qualified. She is also kind, patient and considerate with all my horses which is particularly important to me. Routine dental, and recommended advanced dental procedures are explained well, and any treatment is of the highest quality. One of my ponies had diastema which Sam took care of with outstanding results. 

I have two horses and two carriage driving ponies and am always confident that with Sam’s care they are comfortable in their mouths. I personally would not use anyone else, and I can recommend Sam’s dentistry skills 100%. I have recommended Sam to several friends who have all been delighted. Especially one friend who could not believe the vast improvement in her horse, both in his work and his character.
